About MoHuMuDa

This database is dedicated to all Moroccan patients with genetic disorders

The Moroccan Human Mutation Database (MoHuMuDa) is the first catalog of human genetic disorders and mutations found in Moroccan population. This website has been created to provide clinicians and scientists access to a central genetic database for the local population. The data catalogued in the database include mutations in Mendelian diseases identified in Morocco or in patients from Moroccan origin living abroad. Polymorphisms, but not microsatellite markers, which had been investigated in samples associated with specific phenotypes or diseases are also included. The data are collected from journal articles identified by searching through PubMed, other online resources, and via personal communication with researchers were compiled and assembled into a single database. Some unpublished personal data are also included. Diseases with specific genes are categorized alphabetically (OMIM names) with all the reported mutations for each gene stated on the same page.
